This is the Moscow-made 2nd pattern of the Grunwald Cross, struck in solid silver with finely detailed design.
The obverse bears the central shield with two crossed swords.
The reverse features the inscription “1410 KG 1944” in raised relief.
The award is suspended from the correct tricolor ribbon (red, white, green).

Good overall condition with light wear and toning to the silver surface.
Ribbon shows signs of age and slight fraying, consistent with genuine early issue examples.
Historical and Collectible Significance:
This 2nd Pattern Grunwald Cross was produced in Moscow (USSR) before the Warsaw Mint began regular post-war production.
The Grunwald Cross was instituted in November 1944 by the Polish Committee of National Liberation to honor valor, distinguished command, and service in battle.
Silver examples of the Moscow issue are considerably rarer than later Warsaw-minted types, making this a highly collectible piece for serious Polish militaria collectors.
