Reverse:
Central medallion inscribed with "10 MAIU" (10 May), Romania’s National Day under the monarchy.
Around the central medallion: "1866 - 1877 - 1881", representing key dates in Romania’s history:
1866 – Accession of King Carol I.
1877 – Romania’s Declaration of Independence from the Ottoman Empire.
1881 – Proclamation of the Kingdom of Romania.
